One of my favorite bands, the Mates of State passed through New York City in May 2009 with another great band, Black Kids. The evening was really nostalgic for me, as the Mates served as my inaugural New York City concert in the Fall of 2006. I decided to bring my camera and capture the performance, which ended being a highlight of my 2009 music season!
